Publications from "Biglal Haruach"

The “Biglal Haruah” research project was launched shortly after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack against Israel. It is the largest study of psychological risk, resilience, and functioning conducted during the ensuing Israel-Hamas war. More than 16,000 individuals across multiple samples contributed data across multiple waves of data collection conducted between 2023 and 2025. This project provided a unique opportunity to study the effects of war in real time and has already resulted in multiple publications, including research on how war impacted people’s religiosity and spirituality, how people formed opinions about the Israel-Hamas hostage negotiations, and how financial hardships due to the war affected mental health.
